2 Preparing the Harddrive
In order to install the operating system on the Stylisic LT C-500 it is necessary to remove the harddrive from the system and connect it to another computer.
Unlike the Stylistic LT it is pretty easy to remove the harddrive at the C-500 model.
The clever engineer put a small compartment in the backside that contains the drive.
1. Loosen the two screws with a small Phillips screwdriver and open the compartment by moving the door to the bottom side.

2. Use a small screwdriver to disconnect the 'package' from the system and lift it out of the compartment.

|
3. Remove the aluminium coat and carefully diconnect the IDE socket. (This one was sitting very tight so I needed to use a screwdriver for that.)

|
4. To connect the harddrive to an other computer you need a 2.5" to 3.5" IDE adapter (I purchased one at eBay for less than 10 €.).
Pin 1 on the harddisk is positioned next to the master/slave selector jumper and must be connected to the red marked side of the computers IDE cable.
The power cables of the adapter should be on the opposite side.
You can although check for the correct orientation by comparing the position of the missing pin in the middle of the socket.
N.B.: Alternativly you could connect the disk to a notebook without the adapter, since 2.5" drives are used here as well.
